Dan has been a lawyer since 1993. He practiced corporate litigation and then plaintiff’s class action law before opening his own practice in Pennsylvania in 2001 and in New Mexico in 2010. The diversity of his experience and breadth of his intellectual interests made a general practice a natural fit. Finding greatest demand for estate planning and administration, he has focused his practice there since 2016. In 2019, his wife, Jen, graduated from law school, and added her as a partner to focus on services for the aging and special needs populations. Brannen & Brannen LLC is now an Elder Law, Estates, and Special Needs Planning practice. Dan studied accounting at Penn State University (B.A. 1990) and law at George Washington University (J.D. with honors 1993). Dan first moved to Santa Fe with his wife, Jen, and children in 2003, settling in Eldorado in 2008. A lifelong bookworm, he returned to school a few years ago to study the Great Books at St. John’s College (M.A. 2016). He is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Dan enjoys reading, cooking, chess, and getting outdoors with his family. |
